Discovering Nature Walk at Mottisfont

Join university colleagues for our Discovering Nature walks at Mottisfont, near Romsey. Suitable for adults who would like to explore native wildlife in a beautiful setting. No experience needed, just bring sturdy footwear and your curiosity.

How can you help nature on your own doorstep?

The Education School at University of Southampton is working with the National Trust to inspire visitors to engage with nature and promote appreciation through exploring nature from a fresh perspective. University of Southampton colleagues are invited to join one of our Outdoor Guides on a Discovering Nature walk. You will have free entry to Mottisfont for the day, to attend the walk and provide some brief feedback. You will have the opportunity to explore and discover the plants, animals and natural environment in the gardens and parkland, ask lots of questions and make links to your everyday experiences.

Information for attendees

Dates are yet to be confirmed. Booking details will be posted in due course.  

Please meet at the Outdoor Guides hut, near Visitor Reception. Please wear stout footwear and clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day. This is a gentle stroll of roughly 1.5hrs. Terrain may be muddy and wet in areas. The walks are designed for adults. Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for dogs.
