Pinnock Article Wins CUDASSH Prize

Published: 15 May 2008

Southampton's Andrew Pinnock has won the 2007-08 CUDASSH (Council for University Deans of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities) prize, awarded to the author of the best interdisciplinary paper by an academic in their first academic post.

Andrew was appointed in October 2007 to the University’s first-ever lectureship in arts management and cultural policy, and his prize-winning article, 'The Gramppian Hills: an empirical test for rent-seeking behaviour in the arts', appeared in the journal Cultural Trends, 16:3 (2007), pp. 277-294. Entries for the award were judged on the rigour with which they addressed issues of significance through interdisciplinary methodologies.
