New Role for Southampton Composer

Published: 8 October 2008

As his residency at Handel House Museum comes to a close, Southampton composer John Habron is finding his skills in demand from key players in the world of music education and outreach. On 10 October John will co-lead a Music Intro event for the BBC Symphony Orchestra, with Fraser Trainer. Music Intros are practical workshops for families and all comers, and this one will introduce the audience to the soundworld of a new piece by Matthias Pintscher (b.1971): Pourquoi l'azur muet. Participants will also meet some of the performers who will play in the premiere.
