Southampton Appoints Two New Senior Teaching Fellows in Music Management and Enterprise

Following an international search we are delighted to introduce two new colleagues to the Department, Jodi Cartwright and Neil Simpson Treloar. Jodi and Neil will be working on our brand new programme MA International Music Management, which runs for the first time from January 2021.

Jodi Cartwright has worked in the music industry for over a decade and is the manager of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, an internationally renowned ensemble that regularly perform in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.

In addition to her work with the UOGB Jodi also works in the artist group Terraform, who install site specific light art installations at music festivals, public events and light art festivals.

Artist Manager Neil Simpson Treloar has been working with a wide range of artists and music business structures for over 15 years.From Brit award-winning Indie Rockers Catfish & The Bottlemen to UK Garage Pioneer and Iver Novello winning writer-producer Mark Hill (Original Artful Dodger, Craig David) and lots more.

 Neil has enjoyed working within the ever rapidly changing global music industry in grassroots talent development and pre-COVID international touring. "I am eternally fascinated by the Music Industry and its place within 21st-century popular culture. My role at the University of Southampton as Senior Teaching Fellow is a fantastic opportunity to work with young minds to track and analyse technological, economic and socio-cultural changes that affect the music world."
