Event details

Part of the lunchtime concert series.

La Serenissima was formed in 1994 for a performance of Antonio Vivaldi's serenata La Senna festeggiante (RV 693) and ten years later, has firmly established itself as one of the leading exponents of the music of Antonio Vivaldi and his Italian contemporaries.

Director and principal violinist Adrian Chandler began a 3 year AHRC fellowship at Southampton in 2005. His research involves the development of the North Italian violin concerto between 1690 and 1740; La Serenissima will be recording a CD based on his work in every year of the project.

Mhairi Lawson, Soprano
Adrian Chandler, Violin
