Whilst maintaining it's commitment to the jazz tradition, Killer Shrimp is a forward looking band with a modern sensiblity.
Killer Shrimp, led by trumpeter Damon Brown and saxophonist Ed Jones, blends and blurs the lines between the new and the old. Despite a forward looking, modern sensibility the music retains its commitment to the jazz tradition. Hip hop, drum’n’bass, funk and Latin grooves rub shoulders with straight ahead swing, free wheeling improvisation, and textures created with modern studio technology.
