A celebration of the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Hartley Institute
To mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Hartley Institution on 15 October 2012, we are delighted that the Royal Marines Association Concert Band will be our guests at this very special concert. Exactly 150 years ago, the Band of the Royal Marines played at the Hartley Institution's opening ceremony in 1862.
The 45-strong band will be playing a specially chosen programme of music for the occasion.
For concertgoers arriving early, tea and cake will be served from 12.15pm in the Turner Sims foyer.
