2013/14 sees the beginning of a new relationship between the music department at Southampton and Manama, which is an advanced Masters programme in contemporary music performance run by the Belgian ensembles Ictus and Spectra alongside the Ghent Conservatory. This year we are collaborating on a two-phase project that involves six Manama students and a trio of Southampton postgraduate composers.

This second phase of the project will see the Manama students returning to Southampton to rehearse, perform and record new works by three postgraduate composers.
