Kath Roberts - Violinist has recently graduated the University of Southampton with first class honours in music.  She began learning violin at the age of 6, and is currently studying privately with Caroline Balding.  She has been awarded the ‘A B Creber’ prize for musical achievement from Kingston Grammar School, and her University awards include ‘best performer in a music society’, first place in the John Ireland competition, and the Peter Evans prize for outstanding musical performance during her time at university.  Kath has performed solo recitals in venues such as Turner Sims concert hall, Romsey Abbey, St Michael’s Church Southampton, and has enjoyed working with a variety of musicians, including Daniel Herskedal, Ivo Neame, David Owen Norris, and Pei-Jee Ng. She looks forward to studying at the Royal Academy of Music in September 2018 for her MA in performance.

The Andare Piano Trio formed in September 2017 & comprises of musicians based in the Southampton area.  The trio regularly get together to explore new repertoire & generally have a blast whilst doing so! Kath, Manikka & Jamie are all graduates from the University of Southampton’s Music Department & enjoy a varied performing & teaching career across the south coast.  They performed their debut concert as a trio in Romsey Abbey in October 2017, performing Haydn’s final piano trio to rave reviews. Kath Roberts (Violin), Manikka Marchant (Cello) & Jamie Harris (Piano).

The Andare Piano Trio will be performing the complete Mendelssohn Piano Trio No 1 in D Minor Op 4.
