Speaker information

Professor Kaleb E. Goldschmitt. is Associate Professor of Music at Wellesley College. Their research focuses on popular music in the media industries, including film and new media formats. In addition to articles and chapters on Brazilian popular music, they have also published on streaming music services such as Spotify. They are the author of Bossa Mundo: Brazilian Music in Transnational Media Industries (Oxford University Press, 2020) and co-editor of the Journal of Popular Music Studies. Prior to Wellesley College, they held research and teaching posts at University of Cambridge, New College of Florida, and Colby College.
