Developments and opportunities in high resolution CT imaging - FEE Workshop, 16th March 2017

Recent improvements in imaging performance and the consolidation of complex downstream image post-processing tools have dramatically increased the utility and application of computed tomography for 3D analysis of materials and structures. We want to discuss how the technique can benefit your research, and help to make your next proposal stronger.

As a FEE facility, research opportunities may be identified within the µVIS lab in areas such as: non-destructive evaluation & metrology of 3D printed materials and structures, initialisation & validation of multi-physics simulations from µm to m length-scales (thermal, fluid flow, mechanical etc.), characterisation of hard and soft biological tissues at cellular, tissue and organ levels, through-process analysis of manufacturing and engineering performance, geotechnics and hydrology, infrastructure, characterisation of energy devices & systems.

Examples and case-studies of the aforementioned applications can be found in our Videos, Case-studies and Media-activities pages.
