Dr Sze Sing Lee BEng, PhD

As an electrical engineer, I am an enthusiast in new power converter topologies and their control techniques. My research fuels my passion for improving the power electronics systems which serve as an enabling technology for a sustainable future.

Sze Sing Lee joined the EEE team at USMC as a lecturer in 2014. He obtained his BEng (Hons) and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from University of Science Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Prior to joining USMC, he was a senior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia. His current research interests include alternative power converter topologies and control strategies for renewable energy integration. Dr. Lee is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, MIEEE and Institution of Engineering and Technology, MIET.

  • Power electronics converters.
  • Control of power electronics systems.
  • Renewable distributed generation.
