Structure of the Engineering Foundation Year

The Engineering Foundation Year is a 3-semester programme. Learning is achieved through a variety of methods including lectures, laboratory practicals, workshops, tutorials and private study. You will learn English for academic purposes as well as develop your personal skills as an effective, independent and reflective learner.

*Students who do not meet the minimum English language requirement of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent will need to enrol in the module English for Engineers and Scientists in both Semesters One and Two.
