The University has been welcoming new and returning students from our University of Southampton Malaysia Campus (USMC) for the start of the new academic year - in both Malaysia and the UK.

Professor John McBride, Chief Executive Officer at USMC, said: “Our degree programmes at University of Southampton Malaysia Campus offer students the opportunity to experience our world-class education, with two years of study in Malaysia followed by two years in the UK. Students graduate with a degree from an internationally recognised university and gain a truly global education experience.”

There are currently 75 students completing their Engineering Foundation Year at our Malaysia Campus, and 148 students studying either MEng in Aeronautics and Astronautics, MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or MEng in Mechanical Engineering.

With the new cohort of third-year students transitioning to the UK this year, there are now 70 students, originally from our Malaysia Campus, completing their studies in Southampton.

“It has been a pleasure getting to know the students during their time in Malaysia and we wish them all the best as they continue their studies in the UK,” said Professor McBride.
