A world-class wind tunnel complex (UK Campus)
Our world-class wind tunnels have been used extensively by Olympic athletes, Formula 1 teams, high-profile yacht designers, the Indy Racing League and leading aerospace companies.

A world-class wind tunnel complex (Malaysia Campus)
The Aerospace lab features a specially designed for Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering students. It features a subsonic Wind Tunnel that can operate up to a speed of 130 km/h. The lab is also furnished with a flight simulator, a Hilton nozzle rig, and a flow bench.

Wolfson Unit for Marine Technology & Industrial Aerodynamics
The Wolfson Unit is one of the most respected marine design consultancies in the world, with clients including America’s Cup teams and designers of yachts for the 2008/09 Vendée Globe race. The Unit is an Innovation Partner for UK Sport.

Flight Simulator (UK Campus)
The Southampton flight simulator is unique in the UK, developed by students for students. Originally funded by BAE Systems, it is a state-of-the-art facility that uses commodity-off-the-shelf technology (COTS). Many third- and fourth-year group projects have been involved in developing the hardware and software for the simulator over a decade. We collaborate closely with the Microsoft Flight Simulator team and have been part of their test and development programme for many years.

Boldrewood Innovation Campus
Our £140m Boldrewood Innovation Campus is a purpose-built environment with state-of-the-art facilities for our engineering education, research and enterprise.  The campus is home to the University’s Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and is located a five minute walk away from the main Highfield Campus. Combining the world-class expertise of the University of Southampton and Lloyd’s Register, the campus is the UK’s largest university-business partnership.

Undergraduate Laboratories - Electronics and Computer Science
