I’m enjoying the technicality and level of difficulty of the content in the modules that are offered.

Why did you choose the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM)?

UoSM offered a more affordable tuition fee structure as compared to studying all four years at a UK campus. I was also offered a merit scholarship which gave me a 100% fee waiver in my first year. In addition, UoSM offered a course I was very interested in - spacecraft engineering.

What were your Southampton ‘highlights’ (best experiences)?

Some of the highlights have included involvement in club activities/competitions which led me to represent Malaysia in the ‘Present Around the World’ competition in Sydney in my second year. In year three we had a few beautiful snowy days in Southampton. I had never experienced snow as heavy as that before I came here so it was an incredible experience. In terms of relationships, I have forged some very interesting and important friendships with my batch mates.

Why did you choose your course?

To put it simply- I have always been interested in flying things.

I enjoyed the technicality and level of difficulty of the content in the modules that are offered.

What networking, employment and work experience opportunities have you undertaken?

I joined a few clubs such as the Spaceflight Society and the ERASMUS club. Every now and then I have dinner with people from all around the world through ERASMUS. It was very interesting to learn about their culture and teach them about my own.
