Facilities

Our Malaysia Campus offers all the facilities required for a well-balanced student lifestyle which includes modern, spacious and safe living accommodations in close proximity.

You will have access to a wide range of facilities and services that you can make the most out of your student life. We have a fully equipped digital library with over 200 million digital resources, ample study spaces, computing suites, and laboratories for teaching thermodynamics and fluids, materials, control and structures, electrical engineering and electronic engineering. There are also a variety of cafés and restaurants serving a wide range of cuisines close to campus. The campus also sits around clinics, supermarkets, and sports facilities for the convenience of our students.

As an undergraduate in Southampton you will benefit from the world-class research facilities, educational resources and amenities that make Southampton one of the best learning environments in the UK.

The University has continued to invest in state-of-the-art facilities and buildings, including a £4million refurbishment of the undergraduate lab facilities for electrical and electronic engineering, and our £140million Boldrewood Innovation Campus – a purpose-built environment for engineering education, research and enterprise.

We also have an enviable library service, with five libraries offering over a total of 2.6 million publications and a wide range of online resources as well as dedicated study areas and IT facilities.

Information and advice

The Student Services Centre is the central point of contact for all student queries. A dedicated team of trained advisors provides up-to-date advice and information about accommodation, enrolment, exams, fees, funding, graduation and ID cards.

Access to IT

All of our campuses and halls of residence are equipped with state-of-the-art computer facilities. These include high-speed wireless internet access, network points for laptops and public workstations.

Students with a disability, specific learning difficulty or chronic medical condition can take advantage of our specialist equipment and assistive technology.

Culture and nightlife

The Southampton University Students’ Union (SUSU), located at Highfield Campus, is the hub of the University social scene. It includes a 1,700-capacity nightclub (The Cube) and a 330-seat cinema, which shows recent releases at competitive prices.

Well-connected

The uni-link bus service provides a quick connection for the city’s shops, marinas, bars and restaurants. They also serve the airport, coach and main train stations.

 

There is a great student environment at Southampton, with an open campus and lots of green space. The library facilities are excellent for study and research.
