Under-Secretary of State for Health praises NAMRIP's 'brilliant new exhibit' in Parliament

This afternoon MP's from across parties took part in a debate on World Antibiotics Awareness Week.

Steve Brine, the Under-Secretary of State for Health, spoke of the importance of raising public awareness of AMR (a key point in Lord O'Neill's 2016 Review on Antimicrobial Resistance).

Talking about a recent visit to the Winchester Science Centre where he was shown "The most dangerous game in the world" he described it as 'a brilliant new exhibit on AMR'. He went on to say that our exhibit gives children the chance to understand what AMR is and raising awareness of AMR among our young people is a great place to start.

The AMR exhibit, developed jointly between NAMRIP (led by Professor Tim Leighton) and Winchester Science Centre, is on permanent display at Winchester Science Centre.
