Personal Respirator for the Developing World developed during COVID-19 pandemic

The PeRSo-DW project team, including Global-NAMRIP members Professor Paul Elkington, Professor Hywel Morgan, Dr Alex Dickinson, Dr Diana Garay-Baquero and Dr Clint Styles have developed a new technology to support healthcare workers in as many parts of the world as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The team have designed a personal respirator and published the open specification allowing local manufacturers to adapt the specification depending on the resources they have available.

Initial information can be found on the University of Southampton website. This is being updated constantly with detailed information to help people make their own versions of PeRSo-DW. It also includes a link where you can sign up for updates.
