Event details

This is the second Theme 1 workshop for NAMRIP members on the AMR theme 'Understanding resistant bacteria in context of host'. Led by Theme 1 leader Professor Robert Read, the event facilitates collaboration on theme 1 topics including Biofilms and Nutrition.

 

The workshop is open to all PhD students, Early Career Researchers, Academics and Clinicians within the NAMRIP network. It provides an opportunity for members to share expertise, plans and ideas for working together on Theme 1 topics.

The first Theme 1 workshop was held in November 2015 and included talks from Professor Robert Read, Dr Xunli Zhang, Dr Sandra Wilks, Dr Jacqui Prieto and Mr Rami Salib as well as plenty of time for discussion and networking.

Professor Robert Read & Dr Jay Laver - Update on the project 'Experimental Human Challenge with Genetically Modified Commensals to Investigate Respiratory Tract Mucosal Immunity and Colonisation' which has recently been funded by the MRC.

Dr Ray Allan - Update on NAMRIP Pump Priming project - 'Influencing non-typeable Haemophilus influenzae biofilm growth reduces antibiotic tolerance'
