Event details

This is our third Theme 3 workshop, based around 'Understanding real world interactions'. Dr David Voegeli is the lead for this theme and will chair the workshop.

This workshop is open to all members of the NAMRIP network including PhD students, Early Career Researchers, Academics and Clinicians. It provides an opportunity for members to hear about research currently underway within this theme, and share plans and ideas for future projects relating to AMR theme 3 topics such as:

Epidemiology, eg using research on the social, demographic and clinical factors in antibiotic use and emergence of AMR to engineer microbe-resistant surfaces/instrumentation;
Minimally invasive surgery, eg informing engineers of the constraints during colonoscopy and endoscopy, including end user requirements and the real world interactions associated with healthcare;
Effect of the environment, eg applying skin measurement techniques to assess its barrier effectiveness.
