Addressing the news that Fox host Pete Hegesth hasn't washed his hands in 10 years, Dr Sandra Wilks, Lecturer in Medical Microbiology, was invited onto the Sasha Twining Show on Radio Solent to discuss 'invisible' germs and handwashing (12th February 2019).  

Live from the Navrongo Health Research Centre in Ghana, Professor Tim Leighton spoke to Radio Solent on 9th March 2018 about the vision for using his StarHealer invention in Africa, to make a difference to newborn mortality rates.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr David Voegeli was a guest on the Sasha Twining Show on Radio Solent on 18th October 2016. David answered listeners questions on fungal nail infections (and related nail problems) to publicise the CapToe Study David is leading. This study is trialling a new treatment (cold atmospheric gas plasma) for fungal nail infection which aims to be more effective than current treatments and as a result reduce the need for antibiotics.

On 26th May 2016 Professor Bill Keevil was interviewed by TBS eFM's 'This Morning' radio program in Seoul, Korea. Professor Keevil answered questions relating to antibiotic resistance and bacteria in soil.

Professor Rob Eason was interviewed by Radio Solent on 22nd May 2016, talking about paper-based diagnostics, AMR and the need for rapid patient-led diagnosis.
