Hybrid Nanophotonics Workshop: Southampton, March 26-27, 2013

The Nano-USRG is organising a two-day workshop on Hybrid Nanophotonics for improving energy efficiency, with parallel sessions on technical training in nanofabrication.

Venue: Building 46, Lecture Theatre C - Highfield Campus, University of Southampton

The goal of the workshop is to discuss and analyse the fundamental physical properties and applications of novel hybrid optoelectronic architectures that address the global strategy for improved energy efficiency. Topics covered will include the following:

Hybrid organic-inorganic micro- and nano-photonic structures and circuitry

Hybrid organic-inorganic photovoltaic phenomena

Hybrid functional electronic structures

Hybrid organic and inorganic luminescent materials

Hybrid inorganic-organic biological photonic structures

Invited speakers include Prof Fritz Henneberger, Prof Frederico Capasso, Prof Nikolai Zheludev, Prof Pavlos Savvidis, Prof David Lidzey, and Dr Otto Muskens. The event will also include a limited number of contributed talks and a poster session with active discussion among participants.
