Funding win for nCats Consultancy

£30,400 from the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account have been won by nC2 staff to continue the collaboration with Perpetuum Ltd started in 2012. The aims of this collaboration are to understand the failure mechanisms involved in rail axle bearings and to determine a correlation between the damages observed in bearings removed from service and the corresponding vibrations measured by the Perpetuum sensors during service on passenger trains.
