Dr Nicola Symonds and Dr Ilaria Corni (pictured) have won another Innovate grant.

Dr Ilaria Corni (pictured) is responsible for the research activities within nC2 which includes applying for grants to pay for her own time and a part of Dr Nicola Symonds.  Ilaria has significantly contributed to the writing of two winning Innovate bids: in Jan 2018 we heard that the £1,155,000 bid had been successful, and in June 2018 we heard a second £395,248 bid was also to be funded.  These two bids will provide funds to pay for Ilaria to work on these grants for the next two years.  The two new grants are both based on the excellent research, that Ilaria has carried out (led by Dr Symonds) with our industrial partner Perpetuum Ltd.  This work is ready to be taken forward to the next Technology Readiness Level with the addition of the new train axle bearing test rig (pictured) now located in the nC2 industrial laboratory on the Highfield campus.
