Mrs Hazel Church
Assistant Research Manager (ARM) in Research on Research (RoR) and Impact, NETSCC
I am an Assistant Researcher Manager (ARM) for the Research on Research (RoR) programme which is an internal programme of work contracted through the NIHR, Evaluations and Trials Studies Coordinating Centre.
I joined NETSCC in January 2010 as a Personal Assistant to the Head of the Health Technology Assessment Programme. In 2014 I joined the Monitoring Team as an Assistant Research Manager (ARM). In July 2019 I joined the RoR and Impact teams. As an ARM I am responsible for providing academic and administrative support to the RoR and Impact teams. For RoR I support the implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement in ways of working in Research, as well as supporting key RoR meetings. I contribute to research projects through activities such as data extraction. For the impact team I support the generation of evidence of impact, develop and enhance wider understanding of impact, respond to requests for information and communicate the value we add, and the difference Health Research makes.
Prior to joining NETSCC, I worked for Cancer Sciences at the University of Southampton as Personal Assistant to Senior Academic Staff/Department Secretary. I also worked for the Cancer Network based within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Health Authority as PA to the Service Improvement Lead. I have 17 years experience in different roles in Health Services and Health Research.
