The University of Southampton and FAPEMIG sign MOU agreement
On the 19th March 2014, the President of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG) Prof. Mario Neto Borges and University of Southampton International Office Representative, Sara Higgins signed a MOU between the two institutions.
The agreement, which is valid for three years, renewable, enables the development of research projects, exchanges of British and Brazilian researchers, Post-doc’s, Masters and PhD students and the organisation of workshops and seminars.
During the meeting, it was agreed that in the second half of 2014, a further agreement will be signed for joint funding and call is likely to be launched for collaborative projects between researchers at the University of Southampton and universities and research institutes in the State of Minas Gerais in the summer.
