Prof Mark Spearing meets WUN Research Mobility Programme and Santander Latin America Fund awardees
A meeting was held for recent awardees of the WUN Research Mobility Programme and the Santander Latin America Fund.
The meeting served as a briefing for students and staff before their departure overseas as well to meet other awardees and hear from previous funded staff and students. Professor Mark Spearing congratulated the awardees and addressed the importance of both funds in aiming to establish and cultivate research links at an individual and institutional level. Nick Davies from Santander Universities also attended the meeting to congratulate the awardees.
Awardees of the Santander Latin America Fund are Dr Richard Beaven, Dr Nestor Castaneda, Dr C. Patrick Doncaster, Dr Hettie Malcomson, Professor Jussi Parikka, Dr Kelvin Peh, Dr Andrew Power, Dr Carlos Torres Vitolas.
The WUN Research Mobility Programme awardees included Michael Breen, Dr Christina Vogel and Dr Zhiwei Hu. Past awardees Claire Walker and Bahareh Zaghari also attended the meeting. Claire, who received the RMP award in 2013, spoke about the continuing benefits of her visit to Nanjing University.
