The University of Southampton has an amazing Marine biology programme which has provided me with opportunities to do plenty of boat and field work. The hands on experience has given me insight into the life of a marine biologist and it's always a great way to learn!

I've grown as a person, I am able to better manage my time, I am more knowledgeable on my subject and the presentations we've had to give has boosted my public speaking confidence. We are allowed to do optional modules that are not Ocean and Earth Sciences based. I have taken up a biology module "Global Change Biology" and we were given other options too.

The course fieldtrips have been amazing! Not only are they a way of learning, it's a great time to be out with friends and enjoy the town.
