The Ocean and Earth Science UCAS Applicant Day is a great way to take a look at the Department before making your final decision of where to go. You will get the opportunity to learn more about our degrees and to meet members of staff and current students. If you have been to one of the University Open Days we still strongly recommend attending one of our Applicant Days.
The Applicant Day Programme will include:
- Opportunity to go on our coastal research vessel Callista.
Please note: visitors should come appropriately dressed for a trip on the boat. - Participate in hands-on practical sessions.
- A chance to experience an exciting research lecture.
- Opportunity for parents/guests to tour NOCS and to visit the National Oceanographic Library.
- Applicants meet our current students to hear about their experiences.
- Q & A session for parents/guests with our admissions team.
- Meet staff and students for lunch, overlooking our waterfront location.
Please note: We provide free parking at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton

Possible strike action

The University and College Union (UCU) has confirmed that the University of Southampton will be part of 61 universities across the country to face strike action. Strikes will run on various days between 22 February and 16 March.
If we do not contact you please assume that your visit day is unaffected and will take place as planned. If you have any questions about your visit day please contact your course organiser.
