The Ocean and Earth Science UCAS Applicant Day is a great way to take a look at the Department before making your final decision of where to go. You will get the opportunity to learn more about our degrees and to meet members of staff and current students. If you have been to one of the University Open Days we still strongly recommend attending one of our Applicant Days.
Oceanography Applicant Days include:
- An interview with one of our academics
- The opportunity to tour our facilities
- Discussion with current students
- Lunch overlooking our waterfront location
Geology, Geophysics and Marine Biology Applicant Days include:
- Participate in hands-on practical sessions.
- A chance to experience an exciting research lecture.
- Opportunity for parents/guests to tour NOCS and to visit the National Oceanographic Library.
- Applicants meet our current students to hear about their experiences.
- Q & A session for parents/guests with our admissions team.
- Meet staff and students for lunch, overlooking our waterfront location.
Please bring suitable warm clothing as you may be outside for part of the day.
Please note: We provide free parking at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton
