Event details

Our Careers Day is an annual event run by Ocean and Earth Science in collaboration with the University of Southampton Careers Service.

The aim of the day is to engage our geology, geophysics, oceanography and marine biology students along with students from the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences with key organisations relevant to their field of study, giving them opportunity to network and discuss potential career pathways. The event will be held at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton, on Thursday 13th February 2025 and will begin at 10am and conclude at 3pm.

10:00 – 11:00 Alumni Panel (Charnock Lecture Theatre)
11:00 – 12:00 in the Charnock Lecture Theatre: Dipalee Jukes, Director of Ground & Water (UoS Geology MSc) will give a talk: Women in STEM Careers.
13:00 – 14:00 in the Charnock Lecture Theatre: Wendy Woolery, UoS Careers Service, will give a talk: What can I do with my degree? This includes information on roles that our graduates go into, who employs them, the skills employers are looking for and also postgraduate study options.
