Miss Frances Perry is a postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

I graduated with a four year BSc in Applied Marine Biology from Bangor University. During this degree I gained the opportunity to work full time for 16 months with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) in their Marine Monitoring team. After graduating, I worked as a Junior Subtidal Ecologist with Marine Ecological Solutions (MES) for two years. I then obtained an 11 month contract with the Marine Biological Association (MBA) working on habitat sensitivity assessments. I am now a first year Spitfire PhD student based at PML. The title of my PhD is ‘The impact of rapid climate change on Antarctic Krill and the Southern Ocean food web’.
