Miss Jessica Cartwright is a postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

I am a postgraduate research student based at the NOC Southampton studying the possibility of mapping and characterising sea ice with the use of GNSS-reflectometry. My research will aim initially to model the characteristics of different types of sea ice and the effect this has on their interaction with the GNSS waves in order to utilise the detected wave reflections for characterisation of the ice.

Previously I studied an integrated Masters at Cardiff University in Marine Geoscience with a year at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (University of Miami).
