Miss Rebecca Huggett is a postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

2011-2015: MSci Oceanography at the University of Southampton

MSci Thesis: Global scale analysis of trace metals in the ocean: Comparison of nutrient-like, scavenged, and hybrid distributions along isopycnals.

Internship at IMarEST: Worked in collaboration with the Joint Group of Experts on the Scientific Aspects of Marine Environmental Protection (GESAMP) to provide a comprehensive literature review on the impact of ocean acidification on the fluxes of climate-active species to the atmosphere for use by WG 38.

Research interests

• Eutrophication, hypoxia, and nitrous oxide production in coastal regions
• Water quality
• Trace metal cycling in the ocean

Research project: Modelling the impact of macronutrients on the eutrophication status of small estuaries
