Previously I have worked on the Cameroon Volcanic Line, using teleseismic receiver functions to determine lithospheric and upper mantle structure. This work determines that there is not widespread mafic intrusion of the crust or underplated material throughout Cameroon. This suggests that the mantle potential temperature anomaly beneath the region is not of a high magnitude when compared to other magmatic provinces worldwide.

Research interests

Currently I am using teleseismic surface waves to create a 3D seismic model of the lithosphere and upper mantle beneath Afar, Ethiopia and the Red Sea.
