2014 - present: PhD student, Ocean and Earth Science, University of Southampton (UK)

2011-2013: MSc Statistics, Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brazil)

2007-2010: BSc Applied Mathematics, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

Research interests

I am studying long term trends and transitions in (phyto) plankton time series of the NE Atlantic and North Sea.

Main research interests:

  • temporal changes in different phytoplankton groups and how they are reflected by water colour indices
  • how the interactions between phytoplankton, climate and zooplankton are related to large scale marine regime shifts
  • statistical methods to identify or anticipate regime shifts

Research project: Trends and abrupt changes in oceanic phytoplankton of the NE Atlantic
