Mrs Samantha Hallam is a postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

I am a PhD student based at the NOC Southampton studying North Atlantic Storminess and the variability of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). The project looks at how AMOC variability can modulate storm activity with particular emphasis on how ocean heat content anomalies (OHCAs) can impact on tropical cyclones using the NEMO 1/12° ocean model coupled to the N512 atmosphere model.

Previously I undertook a Masters in Ocean Science at NOC, Southampton.
