Research interests

  • Long term trends and variations in phytoplankton populations
  • Temporal and spatial scales of variability in phytoplankton distribution
  • Use of phytoplankton as bio-indicators of environmental change

Research project: Variability and trends in sub-Arctic phytoplankton populations

This project aims to assess the interannual variability in phytoplankton populations, and the physical drivers controlling the variability, through a synthesis of satellite and in situ data.
