Research interests

I am undertaking palynological analyses of various samples of shale gas deposits across the U.S in order to determine paleoenvironmental conditions under which they were formed ˜93 million years ago during an Oceanic Anoxic Event (OAE2). The project will help constrain regional differences in the Western Interior Basin and potentially help highlight areas of interest from a commercial point of view for Shell, as well as aid our understanding of how these deposits formed both on a regional and global scale.

Project title: Determining the anatomy of shale gas deposits: the Eagle Ford and Mancos shales
