Research interests

My research investigates the environmental drivers behind acclimation, plasticity and resilience of marine invertebrates from contrasting and changing environments. To date, I have focussed my research on thermally stable environments, typical of polar, deep-sea, and tropical regions.

Experienced in invertebrate ecology from the Southern Ocean, I use molluscs to investigate acclimation and resilience to environmental change over short and extended timescales. My past and ongoing research demonstrates the role of long-term multi-generation acclimation to warming in areas considered thermally stable, with implications for future survival.

Recently working as a postdoctoral researcher within the Coral Reef Laboratory, I investigated the response of reef corals and their symbionts to environmental stimuli.
