Tom Jenkins has successfully defended his PhD entitled "A Biomechanical Approach to Improved Fracture Risk Assessment with a Focus on Reference Point Microindentation".

The PhD thesis was centered around Reference Point Microindentation, investigating how it should be applied for reduced variability, what the device measures and how it should be interpreted and whether it could supplement existing measures to improve fracture risk assessment.

The viva took place on Monday 2nd February and was examined by Prof. Martin Browne (University of Southampton) and Dr Gwendolen Reilly (University of Sheffield).
