Event details

***Please note that this event has been cancelled and will be re-arranged for March 2016*** The Reverend Dr James Parkes was the pioneer of interfaith dialogue. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Parkes Library being transferred to the University of Southampton and the creation of the Parkes Institute for Jewish/non-Jewish Relations, please join leading representatives and scholars of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in a panel debate discussion.

Our guest speakers are Baroness Julia Neuberger, Lord Richard Harries and Imam Monawar Hussain who will be chaired by Dr Mark Levene, Reader in History at the University of Southampton.

The evening will open with an introduction to Reverend James Parkes and his work by Professor Tony Kushner, Marcus Sieff Professor of the History of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations at the University of Southampton.  A light buffet and drinks will follow the debate and we would be delighted if you can join us for this special event.
