Today, the world faces its largest refugee crisis since 1945. This talk will consider how James Parkes, the pioneer of interfaith relations, confronted a crisis of similar proportions during the Second World War. Then, Parkes came out with a radical solution. This talk will consider the relevance of Parkes' contribution, not just in relation to responses to the Holocaust, but to our engagement with the issue of forced migration today.
