PhD students are an integral part of the intellectual life of the Parkes Institute, and bring a wealth of research interests to our community.
Our doctoral students come from different disciplines, and from a diverse range of academic institutions within and outside the UK.
The Parkes Institute offers a various means of support to its PhD students:
Each student is supervised by a team of experienced supervisors whose expertise covers a wide range of approaches, disciplines and periods
The Parkes Library and Jewish Archives provide an excellent resource for students of Jewish Studies
The Parkes doctoral seminars offers an informal and friendly platform for discussion throughout the academic year
Our students are encouraged to actively participate in Parkes outreach work, events and teaching
Students are offered support to identify and apply for funding and scholarships, including Faculty funding but also WUN funding, Parkes Outreach Fellowships and ORT Studentships
