Event details
What do young people think about relationships within and across generations? Where do our aspirations and obligations come from? and (how) do we care?
Rosalind Edwards is Professor of Sociology at Southampton. Her research aims to understand family life and she is especially interested in how family experiences are shaped by gender, social class, race/ethnicity and generation, within geographical, political and historical contexts. At this meeting Rosalind will discuss some of her findings around relationships between siblings and attitudes towards caring across generations. This will be an extremely thought-provoking session with relevance to both parents and carers.
The meeting is hosted by P&CN volunteer Stephen Kemp. Lunch will be provided.
