The project has now come to an end and we are able to publish some results of our findings. Below is a collection of presentations and publications to date. There are more papers being worked on and will be added as and when they are published.

A video was made in association with the University’s media team and entered into the NIHR New Media Competition (Round 3) where it won first prize. Click on the video on the left to view. Links to the NIHR and competition can be found on the right.

  

Powerpoint presentation

A slide presentation was made to the people who participated in the project at a Tea Dance on 17th September 2014, It was Updated with some more results and presented at the British Geriatric Society meeting in January, and again at the Research Feedback Event at Botley Grange Hotel in March.  an edited (for easy viewing) copy of which can be seen by clicking on slides to the right.

 

Conferences

We have presented the work on the Spinal Mouse as a Poster at the 2014 ISPGR World Congress - Vancouver in June 2014 click on ISPGR Poster on the right.

An article has been published in JMIR on the protocol of the project to see it click on JMIR in links on the right.

Abstracts have been accepted for two platform presentations at the World Congress of Physical Therapy (WCPT) in May to present the study as a whole and also the work on views of participants. to view these click on the link WCPT on right.

 

 

Sophia presented her PhD work in a competition called the ‘three minute thesis’, where you were allowed one slide and three minutes to talk about it. It was well received but sadly did not win. To see her presentation click on the video link on the left.

 

The dance classes were very popular with those that took part.  The Dance centre now runs a dance class for people with Parkinson's on a Wednesday from 2:30-3:30pm  See main link to Dance centre to be able to link to their website for contact information.
