Nic Fair is currently a Knowledge Engineer at IT-Innovation, part of the Digital Health and Biomedical Engineering Group within the School of Electronics and Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton. He is working on European Commission Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ projects as well as UK NIHR projects. With an interdisciplinary PhD in Digital Education and Web Science, he has research interests in Personal Learning Networks, networked learning, MOOCs and online training, AR/VR/XR, Data Science, and ontologies. He has worked in a range of roles and departments at the University of Southemapton since 2011, and previously has held a range of educational roles in private, Further and Higher Education institutions. He has led two innovation modules - 'Living and Working on the Web' and 'Online Social Networks' - at the University of Southampton.
