Dr Melinee Kazarian is Lecturer in Law within Southampton Law School at the University of Southampton.
Melinee is currently the Director of the Centre for Health Ethics and Law (HEAL) at the University of Southampton.
Melinee welcomes enquiries from prospective PhD students interested in undertaking doctoral research in any area related to her research. Melinee is currently supervising the following PGR students; Yuqing Zhao (‘Criminal Omissions in China: A Comparative Study with the UK’), and Elizabeth Redrup (‘Existing in the ‘no-man’s land paradox’: What ethical and legal protection do those in an ‘in between’ state of existence have in English and Welsh law?).
Melinee has supervised the following PhD thesis to completion: Zoumpoulia Amaxilati ('The extent to which a shipowner has to take measures to protect a seafarer from the risk of being injured or killed by the criminal acts of pirates in the context of his/her employment: An English negligence law perspective')
