Tony is a senior fellow and environmental science communicator at the University’s Public Engagement with Research unit.
He leads on improving the spectrum of ways in which all members of the University can get involved with engaging the public.
He developed Southampton’s Spectrum of public engagement, and the community engagement Health and Wellbeing Hub, and the Nature and Biodiversity Hub.
He also runs the Research Café and previously organised the UoS Roadshow and University Challenged competition.
Tony gives interactive talks about aspects of sustainability including food, biodiversity, energy and waste. He presents interactive shows with environmental themes and delivers PE training.
Tony's previous research focused on waste management and ways to move towards a zero waste society.
